When I let the dogs out this morning for their before breakfast run out in the back field… just beyond the fencing, camped out in the woods, was a congregation of about 30 wild turkeys. Hearing the side door open, they awkwardly took flight like an army of helicopters, massive wings propelling their large clumsy bodies into the air. It made quite a spectacle. I am always amazed at how such clunky creatures can move so rapidly. Well, the dogs had a great time rushing about… Annie racing to the back to see if they had headed to their usual headquarters in the way-back field.
