I’m a true believer in vacation. A break from routine, leaving all behind, is good for the mind and the body. At the last minute, I threw my laptop into my carry-on, thinking I might regret not bringing it. Well, just the opposite, I soon regretted lugging it along. It didn’t take much for me to get into full vacation mode. Once stepping on the sands of Captiva Island, the 84 degree temps warming my New England still-thawing skin, the sun and sea breeze hitting my face, I was transformed. Early morning walks along the beach, kayaking, biking, shelling, swimming, reading while sunning, eating, and just plain relaxing. Clears the mind allowing for new perspective. Vacation is a good thing…
Now transitioning from this…
To this…
IS hard. A difference in 83 degrees hard! But, the Welcoming Committee on the home front is always SO HAPPY to have me home… Can’t beat that! Recharged and ready to start anew. And, to begin plans for next winter’s vacation!
