What better way to spend a rainy, dismal day during final exams than to hang out with a bunch of friendly Bright Spot Therapy Dogs.
Traditionally, our Spring Finals Therapy Dog Stress-Relief Event at Bay Path University is held out on the Student Commons patio, but today the rain was coming down in torrents, and gray skies kept temperatures at a raw 45 degrees. Students didn’t mind petting the wet fur of the eight different therapy dogs that came for their annual visit to provide a pleasant, relaxing break during the stressful period of studying for and taking final exams.
There was Arlo, the Corgi…
Kaezli, the Swiss Mountain Dog…
Cadence, the Australian Labradoodle…
Faith, the Golden Retriever…
Velvet, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel…
Lily, the English Setter…
and Max and Milo, the Greyhounds…
Within a few hours after the event, I received an email from the assistant director of student leadership/engagement and coordinator of WELL activities thanking us for coming to Bay Path today, and booking dates for their Therapy Dog Stress-Relief Events for the 2016-2017 academic year. Our college events have become so popular that it’s necessary to book 6-12 months in advance to reserve a date on our Bright Spot Therapy Dogs Community Outreach Calendar.
