Zack, the Border Collie, has an important job to do every-other-Thurday. His companion, Bright Spot volunteer Susan Miller gets him suited up in his therapy dog vest and ID badge and together they head to the Westhampton Elementary School where Zack is greeted by a class of fourth graders awaiting his arrival. Susan leads him to the special corner in the school library especially set up for the Bright Spot Reading-to-Dogs Program. There, Zack is a very good listener as the assigned fourth grader reads one-on-one with this special therapy dog. Two students have the opportunity to read to Zack from the books they have selected and practiced ahead of time. I wonder what stories Zack heard today?
