We are hosting Thanksgiving at our house. We always have Thanksgiving here. I love preparing the feast. Right now, I have a long list of To Do’s on the kitchen counter as I work on preparations. I enjoy checking off each item: rolls made – check; pies made – check; house cleaned – check; extra beds made up – check; table set – check; and most important, dogs trimmed and bathed – check. Yes, the dogs need to be spruced-up for the holiday. They loved to look their best. Truly. They seem to smile extra-broadly when they’ve had their full-spa-treatment.
We’re pretty much set now. Our first family members arrive tonight, with the rest coming in on Thanksgiving morning. We will miss our daughters Eve and Margie and their families. With Eve and family in Boulder, and Margie and husband in San Francisco, I’m just as glad they’re not facing the crowds at the airports, especially in this bad weather. Thanks to FACETIME, we’ll all get to see one another and chat on Thanksgiving Day. So much to be thankful for on Thanksgiving Day – and every day.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING from our house to yours.
