The Coolidge Room at Forbes Library in Northampton, Massachusetts, was filled with people there to listen to Readings from The Writing Room. Thirteen writers who participate in The Writing Room held at Forbes on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:30-12:30 throughout the year, read portions of their work. I read from my memoir in progress Beyond Words: The Bond Between People and Dogs.
Thank you to my friends who joined us for this event. I was so happy to look out in the audience and see you there. I enjoyed talking with people afterward about my work with therapy dogs. Thank you for your words of encouragement. It means the world to me.
The Writing Room is open to writers of all genres and is run drop-in style. Check out the particular’s regarding The Writing Room on the Forbes Library website. The group is facilitated by Forbes Library Writer-In-Residence, Susan Stinson. Susan’s fourth novel, Spider in a Tree (about18th C Northampton in the time of Jonathan Edwards) will be out from Small Beer Press in the fall. Mark your calendars for the October 2 launch/reading.
