Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts, was our last stop on our tour of college campuses as Bright Spot Therapy Dogs offer a break from studies to students preparing for final exams.
It was the first day of finals for the Elms College Students. For most of the students, exams will be over and they will be leaving campus by Thursday afternoon.
For seniors, graduation will take place next Saturday, May 17th.
The Bright Spot Therapy Dog Stress-Relief event was held on a beautiful, warm and sunny day. This was the first of our college events this spring where we were able to have the dogs outside.
Elms College has a small, beautiful campus. Due to the cold weather we have been experiencing here in western Massachusetts, the many flowering trees on campus were still tightly budded. I imagine the campus is a burst of color when everything is in full-bloom.
Eleven Bright Spot Therapy Dogs hung out on the campus quad from 11:30-2:00. Students were able to spend time with the dogs before and after taking an exam. Since we had been on campus in March, many students knew the dogs by name and were happy to see them back again. A few new dogs joined our group this time, adding to the different types of breeds, small-medium-and-large, that were in attendance.
Elms College is already planning to book our Bright Spot Therapy Dogs for events next year.
