Today, Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, officially announced a partnership with Bright Spot Therapy Dogs and the start of the Bradley Buddies Therapy Dog Program at a media event held at the Airport.
As Bright Spot and airport officials spoke with reporters, therapy dog teams interacted with the passengers eager to pet the dogs.
The Bradley Buddies Therapy Dog Program, as it is called, got underway as a pilot with two Bright Spot Teams back in January 2017.
The dogs have been so well-received by passengers arriving and departing, that the Airport gave the green light to go ahead and add more teams to the program. Travelers are pleasantly surprised to be greeted by our friendly, outgoing, well-trained dogs while they wait for a flight or arrive at the gate after a long flight. One passenger came over to us and said, This is the best airport. These therapy dogs are amazing!
Bright Spot Therapy Dogs is thrilled to be the therapy dog organization chosen by Bradley to supply therapy dog teams for this special program.
Many people passing through the airport have inquired about getting involved with their own dog.
We ask that anyone interested it pursuing this program check out our website and read about the steps involved in getting his/her dog certified through Bright Spot Therapy Dogs. We hold training classes regularly and certify teams throughout New England. Please check us out. If not the airport program, we have a list of over 185 healthcare, educational, and business environments throughout New England requesting the services of our well-trained therapy dog teams. We’d love to have you join us!
