Therapy Dog Lily has a big week ahead. This Friday, February 15th, she will once again appear on the TV show Mass Appeal. Last August, Lily was on the show as a therapy-dog-in-training. She appeared with certified Bright Spot Therapy Dogs Lilo and Tucker, two wonderful Great Danes, handled by Bright Spot volunteer Ernest Damon.
Lily gets a trim for her appearance on Mass Appeal
Since that time, Lily has become a certified Bright Spot Therapy Dog and is volunteering as a Bright Spot Reading Buddy every Tuesday at the Westhampton Elementary School. On Friday’s show, we will talk about Lily’s role as a Bright Spot Reading Buddy and will encourage viewers who have a sweet, friendly, outgoing dog to become involved with therapy dog visiting. We will talk about the training, evaluation, and certification process. Tune into Mass Appeal at 11:00 a.m. and learn about the meaningful work our Bright Spot Therapy Dogs perform in the community.
